As much as many treatments claim to get cellulite out of your body the majority of the products are expensive, time-consuming and are many women don’t consider them to be an option. There are however treatments which you can do in your home which take a few minutes every day.

Body Brushing

By brushing your body on a daily basis using firm strokes you will encourage lymphatic drainage. This helps in cellulite disappearance. It stimulates lymph and blood flow, encourages the growth of new cells and removes skin cells which are dead. The skin can be either dry or wet while the brush ought to have non-synthetic (natural) bristles. Starting at your feet, you should work all the way up.

Psyllium Husks and Intestinal Cleansing

Psyllium husks are fiber in nature and when added to water helps cleanse the digestive system. When feeling bloated the intestinal cleansing is natural and safe. Do it every 2 weeks for about 2 to 3 months while following the packet’s directions. The pysllium husks can be bought at most of the food stores.

Drink Water

Dehydration causes the body to keep water. When adequately hydrated all things in the body will function better. Water in the body is necessary as it plays an important role in flushing out fats and toxins.

Exercise

All the factors that we have mentioned above won’t cure cellulite on their own. They will help when they are accompanied by exercise and healthy diet.

Exercises are important as they stimulate circulation while boosting the flow of lymph. Muscle building and toning exercises and aerobics are vital in the fight against cellulite.

Seaweed Wraps

Something else that can help you to eliminate excessive water while giving your skin a much firm appearance is seaweed wrap. The results are temporary only lasting a few days. They are however great if you require to improve the skin appearance quickly for special events.

The following is a recipe that you could use:

Make a paste using 8 oz. of powdered or dried seaweed and enough water. Alternatively use approximately 3 oz. fresh seaweed you will also need a blanket and plastic sheet.

Put the blanket underside the bathtub and a plastic sheet at the top. Sit on top of the sheet covering you with the fresh seaweed or the seaweed paste. Wrap yourself using a plastic blanket and sheet. Close your eyes while you relax for twenty minutes. Unwrap yourself thereafter. Take the sheet and blanket away from the bathtub. Using warm water, fill the bath and relax for ten additional minutes. After you are through, pat the skin gently using a towel and then moisturize.
