July 3, 2014

Don’t like what you see when you look back at the bathroom mirror?

Do you second guess how much skin you will show?

Would you like to be able to say “The Dimples Are Gone!”

There’s a reason you have dimpled cellulite skin. 90% of post-adolescent women go on to develop cellulite at some time during their life! It’s practically a law of nature! Although cellulite is generally not a medical concern, It’s A Concern To You! The most common areas where a woman develops cellulite are the thighs, buttocks and the stomach, and these are exactly the areas where you want to look firm and sexy.

Cellulite does not occur just as a result of being overweight. Both slim women and overweight women can be affected, although cellulite might be more noticeable in overweight women. Mothers, celebrities, and even active women and women who regularly visit the gym can have cellulite.

cellulite-thigh-squeezeCellulite is a fatty deposit located in the pockets just below the surface of the skin. Due to the fact that we all have layers of fat just below the surface of the skin, and because these fatty deposits are located so close to the surface of the skin, cellulite causes the skin to have a dimpled appearance because it is more visible than deeper fat deposits in the body. The collagen fibers that connect fat tissue to the skin may stretch, break down or tighten, allowing the fat cells to bulge out and dimple.

Below are some of the more ridiculous claims and scams surrounding cellulite cures:

Liposuction: This is the most common and misleading scam used by physicians to perform their costly procedures. Liposuction is not helpful to cellulite, and some physicians are quoted as saying it can worsen the appearance of cellulite. Unethical cosmetic surgeons lead desperate, frustrated women to believe that Liposuction is the cure. A plastic surgeon, Paul Lorenc, wrote a book which describes these unethical practices of some plastic surgeons which is titled “A Little Work: Behind the Doors of a Park Avenue Plastic Surgeon.” The doctor states that if any Plastic Surgeon that suggests Liposuction as a cure to cellulite, you should run out the door with your health and your wallet intact.

Anti Cellulite Sneakers: sneakers with what are known as a “rocker bottom sole” which allows the foot to roll while walking. Many senior citizens wear these shoes to reduce hip impact and comfort the foot while walking. We have yet to see a senior wearing these shoes to be free of cellulite.

Anti Cellulite clothing: This will not treat or cure cellulite on your body. There is no such thing as anti cellulite clothing to rid you of cellulite once you have it.

Body wraps: Wraps can dehydrate the skin and may give a temporary appearance that cellulite is gone. However, if there is any gain, it is quickly lost when the skin is rehydrated.

Tanning: This ridiculous idea does nothing. Tanning to remove cellulite is a bogus claim.
Aromatherapy: Totally ridiculous. Sniffing your way to perfect legs? Please…
